Bluerskies Mindful Creatives is a collaborative duo of Havering based mixed media artists and mums, Charlotte Trower and Kirsty Packer. BMC was formed over four years ago with its focus on encouraging mental wellbeing and community engagement through art. BMC devise and deliver a range of particpatory, co-created artworks with the community rather than for the community. This creates a legacy which genuinely responds to the needs of local people.

BMC work with people from all backgrounds. In addition to this, they have worked with MIND, Havering College, My Place Youth Centre, Harlow Play House, The Retailery funded by the Greater London Authority and Havering Changing funded by Arts Council England and Havering Changing working with members of the community who are under-represented. Their focus on widening participation encourages access for all to the arts.

BMC is inspired by image representation and geometric pattern design artworks that evolve with community collaboration and public participation. Believing that art is for everyone, BMC strive to engage local communities in the making of art to use the creative process as a way to inspire mindfulness through joyful and creative activities.

With a collective passion for mindfulness and art BMC was formed with the ambition to work with the community to explore the way that creativity can stimulate mindfulness.

Exploring mindfulness and organic creation, BMC bring a range of different skills and experiences together to facilitate participatory workshops and community projects. We believe art is everyone, and we strive to engage local communities in the making of art to use the creative process as a way to inspire mindfulness through a joyful and creative activity.

We offer event based workshops, group courses and participatory community projects to the public. Also, having our own artistic practice we organise and participate in group exhibitions.
